For Maths in Term 2, we learned the importance of learning how to add accurately by buying and selling all sorts of wonderful things at our Maths Market.
We made our very own market stall poster listing products we wanted to sell (cupcakes! sausages! dinosaurs!). Then we decided on the price, first using tokens, then using play money.
Before long, it was Maths Market Day. We started buying and selling our wares with our friends, our paper wallets bursting with 'money'. There were lively sales pitches, cheap bargains, and some very curious collector's items to be had - magic rainbows, anyone?
We can't wait to put our maths (and sales) skills to use at the BEPS Friday markets - hooray!
