We were lucky enough to have one of our super parents come in and cook with us last week! Fresh and healthy, the children made tasty pizzas with some very funny faces for lunch. It was wonderful for the children to discuss the origins of the food, carefully prepare and create their meal and benefit from their hard work. We hope that weekly cooking groups really take off as it is an invaluable experience for the children. If you are interested in helping out with an experience like this, we have a sign up sheet on our classroom door- siblings and extended family welcome!!!

ReplyDeleteWell done looks fun though I note with a chuckle the gorgeous array of vegies in the first pic and the contrasting absence of anything green on the kid's creations.... so familiar... 10 points for trying though! I'm looking forward to my turn at a cooking session :)
