Shark Park

Children drew up plans for an amusement park for seals. They designed rides and used the mathematical language of space, shape and measurment. Around, under, over, through, behind, corners, tunnels, movement and direction. They worked out which angles to put the blocks so the marbles (marbles are seals) travel the furthest. Robot sharks swim around the edge of Shark Park so beware!! This intricate imaginary world is a beautiful example of collaborative team work and problem solving, mathematics and design in action.
